Has anyone tried this beta? I'm curious what they mean by ST-E3 support. Can the ST-E3 now trigger a pocketwizard?

all this gear uses different frequencies, so I suspect this update only allows the TT1s and TT5s to recognize a ST-E3 and 600EX when mounted on their hotshoe...

EOS R6’ / 1D X / 1D IV (and the wife has a T4i)
Sig35A, Sig50A, Sig85A, Sig14-24A, Sig24-105A, Sig70-200S, Sig150-600C

So, in that theory could I have a doublestacker.. A flextt5 on my camera with a st-e3 on top. I could have the flextt5 trigger other pocketwizard flashes and the st-e3 trigger other rt flashes? (My head is spinning).

no

the camera or ST-E3 on the TT1/TT5 at the camera position would act as a master from which you can set your groups/settings - pretty much in the same manner that you can use a ST-E2 or Master flash on a TT1/TT5 before this beta update

This may give you an example:
