I'd kill for that 22mm f2 for my 60D. I've been wanting one of those for years.

Really, though, I bet it's "fan art". I don't see Canon using the name EOS on a new system.

Canon already hinted that they'd use a 1.85x crop sensor (From G1x) so 22mm would be 40mm equivalent.

I'm not saying a Canon mirrorless isn't being released (heaven knows I've been asking for one for years), but that picture just doesn't sit right with me. Something weird about the angle of the shutter button/dial. Looks like a bad shoop.

Uh... isn't the entire back LCD an EVF?

kinda sorta but the V/F is View finder, that you hold your eye ball too. ;)

The fact that the OMD has one is the primary reason I bought 1 asap after release as I could not stand the LCD only for framing a shot.

Looks legit! As already mentioned, no eye-level EVF, or even an option for one. It's a start, maybe good enough just to have some presence in the CSC market, but probably not for most of us.

pass.

I was hoping for a retro style build like canonet QL-17 or AE-1 and especially a VF.
more and more I'm leaning to an X100

Yeah, that's pretty ugly. I'd much prefer the retro/Leica look.
Even so, the proof is in the pudding (image quality). Also, if it's easy to incorporate with a "serious" EF SLR setup, it'd be a no brainer to pick one of these up...

Think new Canon lenses are overpriced? Lots (and lots) of data will set you free!

I'm assuming it must have a touchscreen interface, since there's no mode dial??
Seems weird to me that the G1X would have more external controls than a full system camera.
