I'm liking this camera a lot. Looks like the perfect travel camera if the image quality is there.

This is a joke, no way something so ugly is real. Even the Nikon mirrorless looks better than that.

that slant thing on the shutter button is still bugging me. I was hoping it was a bad 'shop. Oh well, on to waiting for image samples :)

Screw all you retro looking wannabe's. This camera rocks and is perfect for my wife.

Touché

I was all into something like this until I got the 40mm pancake. Now I have little interest. If they make a 20mm pancake for EF I will have no interest.

The nikon 1's were also bashed once leaked/announced but I wonder how many nikon users actually got one? If I didn't already move to the m43 camp I'd definitely consider this.

Why are people saying this looks ugly? Looks fantastic to me. Also for the person that posted that this wasn't going to be an "EOS", it even says EOS-M on top of the camera. I'm also glad it has a little slant in the shutter button, it will match a real DSLR then.

In all seriousness I tried an NEX5 and it was a nice little cam so looks really should not matter but I guess most folks who are into cameras are also visual so it probably makes sense that the camera be stylish. I think I was just expecting a retro look. Not sure why smaller cameras seem to need the retro look but for some reason it seems to make sense and make them more appealing.

Well, it really doesn't look aesthetically pleasing since there's no consistency in the form. It's asymmetrical, and it has humps, scoops, and curves all over the place so it has no well-defined shape. It looks very blobby overall. I think the Pentax mirrorless actually looks better, even though it's looks are unconventional at least it has a consistent form and design.

Not that a camera needs to look good to take good photos, but this thing wouldn't win any beauty contests.
