For me personally, the looks look like every other P&S/70% of mirrorlesses, but if it performs who cares!
TBH id rather have one that actually performs... they can make a pretty one later
Right now we have:
Nikon 1: Tiny, but really meh image quality, crappy lens selection, crappy build quality
m4/3: Best selection of lenses out there, IQ is pretty decent, size is good, Probubly the best all round system
Sony NEX: Best IQ out there, lenses are huge though, lenses are also quite iffy in terms of optics for the most part, it is very well made though
Pentax Q: ....Do i even have to bother with whats wrong with this thing?
From the picture, Canon looks to have the Size right, if they got an APS-C sensor in there they'll have the IQ to go with it, and a 22mm f/2 lens is more interesting than many of the "kit" primes (Sony's 16mm f/2.8, Panasonic's 14mm f/2.8 and 20mm f/1.7, Olympus's 17mm f/2.8 and Nikon's 10mm f/2.8) giving you a 35mm f/2.8 in FF terms versus 24 f/4, 28 f/5.6, 40mm f/3.5, 34mm f/5.6 or 28 f/7.5, Which gives you class leading isolation ability...only the Panny 20mm comes close... Also a 35 is considered by many to be a great street lens/general usage standard...
Now, The only way for Canon to screw this up is for it to be rediculously expensive (Over $1000) Or for it to have some other really glaring fault...
