I'm looking at buying an L lens with my 5D mark 2 but I am currently unsure as to which to get. I have heard great reviews on both but I still can't decide
Suggestions?

Both are f/4, which is bit difficult with long light photo. Canon 5D3 + Zoom (EF 17-40L, 24-105L & 28-300L, 100-400L II) & Prime (24L II, 85L II, 100L, 135L & 200 f/2.8L II; Zeiss 1,4/35)

If you find yourself lacking on either end of the focal range get yourself another lens. Same applies to maximum aperture (if f/4 isn't fast enough). The 24-105mm is a good focal range to start, since it will cover most subjects (from landscapes to H&S portraits). Canon + Elinchrom | www.daanbarnhoorn.nl

You really can't go wrong with having a copy in your bag. For years I sneered at it, thinking that f/4 was a noob lens, but now I own one, I can't get over how useful it is for general everyday shooting. Tumblr
