From my limited experience with the Zeiss 50f1.4 and Zeiss 50f2 I much prefer the f2 it is a much sharper lens. However I own the Canon 50f1.4 because of the price and the af. I actually prefer the Canon 50f1.4 over the 50l.

I have this lens. Don't want to put anything else on my 5Dc. Wasn't impressed with Canon and Sigma bokeh, but this one is what I like.
It reminds me old FSU and Zeiss glass, which is different class from current AF lenses. They have colors, contrast and bokeh. Rich, wild and solid.

I purchased it used for 660 or something. It was sitting on e-bay at lowest price for few weeks before I paid for it.
You would have to learn how to use it, if not you'll tell another people how soft it is.
I'm not trying to convince to get it. It is the lens not for everyone.

f1,4... ISO1600, Cheers.

Hopefully picking up the Zeiss 50mm f/2 MP today.
Was very impressed with some of the test shots I got.
Received the lens for AU$900 (so equivalent of a new Zeiss 50mm f/1.4).
