I disagree wholeheartedly. I may or may not get the original shot with my equipment. That is debatable. The artist's eye at work in the PP'd photo is simply amazing. A nice photograph of a beautiful girl has been transformed into a stunning work or art. In my humble snap-shooter's opinion, the black and white version is something I can only aspire to.

either way, its a stunning shot mate. just saying how i feel about the black and white vs colour. that is all

Nice shots!
5D MARK III and 70-200 F2.8 IS II are the great body lens bundle.

i like both, B&W the most
colored one your eyes tends to look all over the frame, b&w all the attention points to her.
what's impressive too is that this is at iso 1000!

great pp, learned a few tips from your blog myself

I saw this pic in the 5D III owners thread and couldn't stop staring at it. I much prefer the B/W version. Great work

I prefer both. Really love how strong those eyes connect with the viewer. Thanks for the processing tips as well! It'll def. help out in the future when working on eyes.

Believe or not, but when I was processing this picture, I did not think about the ISO setting, meaning the file was so clan that I though it was my usual ISO setting, something between 100 and 400, but then I realized it was ISO 1000 and I was really stunned.

You just move the slider:-)

well there are four sliders, right? ;)

i get the masking slider just fine (just weird that Adobe puts the default at 0), but when you say you moved it to 40-50%, what values did you change? just amount? or radius? do you move the detail one at all?
