If you frequent this area you have surely seen this guy. Compared to some other homeless guys, this guy looks rather normal. Wonder what his story is.

btw, first photo I've ever posted here. C&C welcome. More to come.

I want to like it, but for me the person in blue takes up too much of the shot and face.

I was trying to get more of him and the sign as people passed by. But is wasn't a constant stream of passer-by's so it became a waiting game. After a while he spotted me and wouldn't stop looking at me so I gave up. I'm still happy with how this came out tho. The glimpse of his face and expression are pretty metaphorical to me.

I hear ya. It can be very frustrating dealing with the randomness of people.

Food for thought, it might not make a bad picture having some scruffy homeless guy peering at you through the crowd. I think it could make a very interesting shot!

sorry but i fail to see what there is to like about this photo... not enough of the subject is in the photo... the blue shirt draws my attention away from the subject...

I know, right? I'm just sayin'...

I'd have to disagree with this. I like the shot OP. In fact, the more I look at it, the more I like it.

Particularly the fact that in the blurry foreground is what appears to be a child, holding either a smart phone, or some similar high priced electronic gear. Juxtaposed against that is someone who is obviously w/out means.

And the child is walking by, oblivious to the needs of the less fortunate but instead focused on if her angry bird will complete the level.

It's a powerful shot. Well done.
