Another goodie I found under my dads bed (the other being a 38-76mm lens) and I'm quite concerned at the washed out exposures I've been getting. Is this flash too old for the camera or are there any special settings on the 20d that I've missed? PacAce Cream of the Crop  26,900 posts Likes: 40 Joined Feb 2003 Location: Keystone State, USA More info | Dec 17, 2005 19:42 | #2 I am not 100% sure but chances are that the flash only works in TTL mode and not the ETTL mode needed for your 20D. So that means that if you want to use this flash you'll need to set the camera on manual mode and set the proper aperture based on the flash-to-subject distance. ...Leo

You might also want to know that the wrong trigger voltage from the flash can kill your camera, so you should consider yourself lucky that you got away with it. Looks like I better start saving for a 430ex!
