I like the idea, but I took a concientious decision only to use the best make of card - to avoid the bent pin / user screw up.
Especially as I noticed the card slot in the 7 D is too big for the card. Once I got it [very gently] about 5mm in; when I noticed it was skewed. Obviously took it out and assumed, as the pins were a long way from the receivers - no harm done?
Hence I looked for a Sandisk card but could only find a SD card version! I'm going to phone them tomorrow.
Is it my imagination that withthe advent of the latest gen. SHHCX cards CF is now a dying breed?
Are Eye-Fi cards made in CF format?, or does one need a jacket, and does this cause problems / delays in file transfer. If it needs a jacket has anyone a recommendation for the best make of jacket [quality build]?
PS I only want to be able the download the JPEG to a laptop as I take them. Sort of wireless 1/2 tethering. No desire to start controlling the camera from the laptop.
Also interested how this works on Windows 7? as all the reports I've read so far, all seem to be ipad 2 or new iPad linked.
Any info welcomed
