Well, there should be the switch for MF / AF, make sure it's on AF. That's all I can think of.

If steroids are illegal for athletes, should PS be illegal for models?

Hello all, I thought I'd seek help here. I just bought a Canon 10-22 from Abes of Maine when mounted on my 7D it won't autofocus. Before I complain to Abes, is there anything I can do that I might do wrong like switch I moved but same thing nothing is focusing. Thanks for any advise.

Some basic troubleshooting would be first checking the obvious: Is the AF/MF switch on the lens set to AF?

Next, a quick look at camera settings to make sure you didn't change something there.

And then, mount a different lens to the camera. If it auto focuses just fine and the 10-22 still won't then the 10-22 lens is the problem.

Also might take a quick look at the body contacts on the camera to make sure they're clean

Yeah if you've already toggled the switch and your body focuses fine with other lenses then you should probably return it

thanks, yeah just tested my 60mm and it works fine in Autofocus. The AF/MF switch is on AF. Should I mess with the contacts on the lens? Or just complain to Abes?

What lens is it? If it has one, maybe the focus-limit switch is set for the wrong distance.
