I'm interested, but I'll be checking it out in person to see what the AF performance is like, particularly with the adapter. I'm leaning towards waiting for a second model or firmware update that addresses the AF.

it's not going to hold a candle to my 1DX AF wise... but I am excited to be getting it soon.. It's form factor will make it quite useful.

I decided to pass on the EOS M and go with the M4/3s system. Really happy with my new Oly OM-D E-M5. For easy travel and carry around without giving up fast and accurate AF, sophisticated/customizable external controls and features, flexibility of lenses and accessory choices, great picture quality and color, the oly is sure the most balanced MILC in the market so far.

Reading the first reviews i am thinking of going the same way. Especially since the new EF to m4/3 adapters have aperture control etc. and heck if the reviews are to be believed you can mf with the naitive live view faster than the eos-m can focus anyway. I hope canon steps up with something good soon i have been holding off on a mirrorless for a while now.

Once it's out I want to play with the controls and see how quick/slow it takes to change settings and maunal controls. Really wish this thing had a tilt screen! If it did it would be a sweet camera to use for street photography with the 22 prime.

How slow/fast is the AF with those adapters? The one video I saw of the NEX-EF adapter showed a lot of hunting going on.

This interests me. I would rather wait until some reviews hit the airwaves. I've had m4/3s, a G12, you name it, because I wanted something smaller to carry around to social events (for my blog) and be able to hand it to anyone and (have them take a picture of me) actually geting a shot of myself. It's just really hard going from a DSLR to those smaller cameras and be happy with the picture quality. So I'm hoping this fills that void for me.

I was one of the first answering this post about pre-ordering this camera but in the end I did a step back, because the 6d was more interesting to me than the M camera. Still I would take one in my next year trip to NYC if reviews are not bad at all.

Not interested, unless reviews says it's brilliant IQ like 5D?
The logic of economic fails big time: cost of M body & EF adapter is too much.
I also hate how it looks (all subjective, but it's my money I'm sending anyway)

I'd love to get an intermediate system, between my s95 and 5DM2.
But it's looking more likely that it would come from Fuji (used X100) or Sony (RX100).

The fuji is DSLR fast with micro 4/3 lenses. If you use the adapters i think it is manual focus which is fine since im only interested in using it with my Zeiss lenses.

I have a NEX system with metabones adapter for my canon lenses....an awesome combo with the focus peeking function. I was hoping the EOS M would have an advantage of AF speed with canon lenses, but from what I've read so far, it seems a bit slow. If I can lock focus faster with focus peeking + MF, then its a no brainer. I'll wait for the reviews to come out, but its b/w the canon or new NEX 6 coming out, and I'm leaning towards the Nex 6.
