Was scouting some locations for a future shoot and ran across this beauty. The car owner and photographer were gracious enough to allow me the opportunity to practice while talent was in wardrobe. I've never shot classic autos before. I know it's all about managing the reflections and now will be searching POTN threads continuously. I think I would have positioned car differently. I know the future shoot will be black car so felt lucky to practice. Absolutely welcome and encourage c and c. I have a greater appreciation for car shooters. Any referrals to specific tutorials or favorite lighting guides appreciated.

It looks better there than out in the sunlight, but you might clone some of the poles & stuff reflected in the highlights. As for lighting guides, see the links in my Sig.

beautiful work Patrick, did you catch a UFO in the reflection just in front of the drivers door? that silver cigar shaped thing looks like it's flying

I really hate California for the outstanding condition of so many old cars there. Coming from the rust belt 3 year old cars look like they have been rode hard and put away sweaty and corroding, cars of this age can be found sitting next to the car crushers.

Thanks Rick...the UFO is a ornament that says "Fleetmaster" but I had to laugh because I'd missed how strange it looks. Here is an outtake that shows it better.
