hummer odds and ends

north americas smallest bird. caliope hummer. names such because the neck feathers flare when he is aroused and displayed almost like pipes of a caliope organ. he is about 1/3 to 1/2 the size of a regular hummer like a annas or a ruby throat. notice his size in comparison to the feeder flower

black chin. easy to shoot. hard to capture purple gorget. reason for the name balck chin rather than purple chin.
