The 100mm F/2 was hands down the best lens for headshots on my XSi. The color and clarity was better than any other lens I used.

I'm with ya. I use it whenever possible for portraits and low-light sports.

For $330 used it was money well spent for me.

I was going to say I wouldn't use a super sharp lens for portraits, but since you are doing full body, super sharp or not does not matter so much. For head and shoulders of women, I would look at an 85mm F 1.5 Helios, or a 100mm F 2.8 Meyer Trioplan, both of which would soften up the skin imperfections.

60 macro is the sharpest and a great portrait lens for crop cameras.
85 1.8 is also very sharp and IMO the best sub L portrait lens and a great value as well.

My 85mm 1.8 is amazing. Too bad I don't use it much since it front focuses slightly wide open. at F4 it's omfg sharp

I take back what I said, I've since upgraded to the 7D and it took a +7 to correct this lens but OMFG this lens is amazing :p
