I guess I'll not be a d*ck and actually give you some feedback. This image just has nothing going for it really. Its kinda blurry, the colors are bleh, the cig end is right in the center of the picture. I'm not trying to0 totally shoot you down, but I think you should pick up a book or two and start reading about setting up composition in a picture. Just remember we all start somewhere, I'm sure I can dig up plenty of embarrasing photo's from when I started.

Welcome to the forum. I can not see the enlarged image of your post, the server timed out. There is a "sticky" at the beginning of the forum threads that discuss techniques used in macros. I can not see yours, so I do not have any suggestions.

Hi Boosted, WELCOME to the forum. :D
I think its kind of neat that I can still see the letters that spell TURKISH in the burnt ash. One thing that distracts me the most is the light on the left hand side of your image. Maybe crop the light out of the image, while throwing the composition off center would solve two nits?
Anyway, I think its OK for your first post, and after hanging around here for a while you can pick up a few pointers and ideas. ;)

Well you tried something different, unusual. I agree with the crop idea.

Photography is my only pathological addiction; hopefully it won't drive me to something worse.
