I think that's for the ocean traveller. I'm interested in the 2-series systematic GT2542LOS. Could not find it in B&H

B&H just listed the new Ocean systematic series. Prices are 3x the normal systematic series.

I think if you're a pro and working in extreme environments you might buy. I can imagine the boutique Leica buyers getting one or two just because. I'm sure they'll have small volume, and it'll be interesting to see if they are heavily discounted next year.

I have taken my Gitzo 3530LS in to the water both ocean and fresh plenty of times and for hours at a time and yet to see any thing happen to it. Given I do clean it up once or twice a year by re-lubing the threads with the supplied grease.

I got a 1325 and a 1348 from another photographer who had used them in the sea (and didn't maintain them properly).
Both had leg sections stuck. I managed to get the 1325 working well again, the 1348 still has 3 sections on two legs totally unmovable… ;)

Well duh, that's why. Never maintain a car properly and what happens? The engine burns oil then locks up eventually. Did you at least get them at a smoking deal?

I've had my 3541LS on the beach but not in the sea yet. My Benro travel tripod has been in the sea with no ill effects so far, it has similar construction to the Gitzo.

Yeah, he gave them to me because I helped him troubleshoot his Mac :)
