Weddings are fun yet challenging. Direct sunlight from all the wrong angles during he ceremony.

Reception in the winery barrel room with little to no lighting at all.

All in a day's work!

A few images for ya' all to review from my Blog post:

Great set. Like your work, seems like you know how to handle challenging and difficult situations.

I was referring to the ceremony shot with the blue sky--there is no sign that flash was used there (and second curtain is independent of flare effects as far as I know).

Wow, tell us what you really think.

Great set, it was obviously a high sun, clear day and you handle it well. Did you use ND filters during the ceremony? You captured sincere expressions on the bride/groom (except the awkward expression on the groom (next to pic of them throwing flower pedals). BTW, I was not a fan of the iphone ring pic because the rings are oddly lit from the phone. The wine cork shot is nice and goes well with the theme of the set. Love the BW back shot of the bride. Shows nice detail in her gorgeous dress.

No filters. Crazy full bright sunny day right in the middle of the Vineyard. They did carve out a nice spot for weddings. I just wish these venues did more consulting with a pro photographer before they invest so much. For sure we would have made several suggestions regarding the angle of the ceremony site among others.

The iPhone rings are using only candle light and background from the LCD screen. We knew this would be special as the image from their engagement shot (on screen) held distinct sentimental memories. The couple did comment on the significance of the image. So it is not all in the technical achievement … know your client and know what works….
