Hello, Can someone tell me if there is a conversion ring to get from the EF to a 52mm thread. What I'm looking to do is put a 50mm 1.8 FD lens(with a 52mm filter thread) to a 20D. If so where can I get it?
Thanks

yup I have an old canon ae1-slr with a decent 50mm lens, Ive handheld the reversed lens to the body. Got a couple of good images, but I have to move the camera back and forth to get a good focus, (Dont have 3 hands). Heres an image. Reduced the image 80% and saved as 4 on the image option scale. Just to get it to fit here.

IF the lens has a manual aperture control, then a conventional reversing ring would work quite well. I have one for my old Nikon F cameras, and that works very well.

Unfortunately all the EF lenses for my 20D require an electrical connection to the lens to operate the diaphragm (iris). Thus, older lenses are required for this trick.

I've heard that some folks connect two lenses nose-to-nose with one connected normally to the camera and get decent macro results. I have never tried that, so I can't comment on how it works.
