I have a G6 and frequently use the Fuji 1 hour processing at a local Sam's Club for my prints. If I really had a special image, like my panoramas and certain 8x10's, I use the pro photo lab at ADORAMA (http://www.adoramapix.com (external link)) in New York City. They use thick Kodak Royal Gold paper and have incredible color saturation/detail.
--------------here are the details

Reminder from the Adorama photo-lab team: Just in time for those last
minute prints to give and share with your friends ,family & holiday
visitors.

Although all the currently available specials are valid thru Monday the
26th of Dec. 2005 at 11:59pm, however if you need your digital prints
to be *shipped in time for the holiday, your order must be in no later

Walmarts and Sam's Clubs in the Chicago area seem to use the Fuji equipment. I think Wolf Camera, Walgreen's and others do also. One thing I've learned is that the minilabs are as good as the technical staff and software loaded on the machines. I know our Sam's Club does daily calibrations and the colors agree with my home pc monitor. While at a Wolf Camera, they said that they use additional Fujilab software to make the pictures even better.

My workflow -- images are shot with a G6 at the highest resolution and file size with smallest amount of jpg compression. I then use Paint Shop Pro X, Photoshop, and/or DCE Autoenhance to tweak the photos. Afterwards, I then burn a CD with my pictures (or upload the images through www.samsclub.com (external link)) which is then brought to Sam's Club.
For minilab printing - Images are saved to 300 ppi at 4"x6" or 8"x10"
