I don't see these Yellow-Tailed Black Cockatoo's anywhere as often as I did when I was a kid.

Amazing colors! Great job!

So I must admit, the rate button came in real handy the other day during my first paid shoot... I thought I would never use this button, but it actually was extremely useful.

It was an industrial shoot... I was taking a few per-determined shots with the marketing manager... I was taking a shot of somebody loading up boxes with product and when the marketing manager saw one of the shots I had, the angle/product/etc.. she mentioned how much she loved it. Taking hundreds of photos throughout the time I was there, there was no way I would remember that one. I used the rate button to give it 5 star and in LR4 it clearly identified itself.

Quite handy in this type of situation. No longer do I feel it is a worthless feature It was definitely made exactly for a situation like this!

sharad.medhavi You are really stepping it up with your shots, great colors and processing. This look continues to elude me. #1 and #2 above have wonderful composition with interesting backgrounds. Nice job.

Got another chance to break out the 5D Mk3 this weekend on trip up to Clear Lake CA.

After having the 5D mk iii for a weekend, I think I have a defective unit. Shooting in M or AV and auto ISO, in any metering mode, it under exposes by about 1 to 1.3 stops pretty consistantly. Will swing by B&H tomorrow and try to swap out for a new one.

A little searching and it looks like there have been a few examples of this issue. Seems to be there or not and doesn't show up if it's not there out of the box.

B&H is awesome. Simple, no hassle exchange and I'm back in business. The new copy meters much better.
