Yup, SOOC. No editing in any way.

Did you use long exposure nr? Have you tried to shoot another image with the lens cap on and then subtract the noise from that image in photoshop with difference mode?

Yeah, that was kinda my point, you probably would want to have long exposure NR on. What was the lens used?

Wow, today I finally came to my senses and micro adjusted all my lenses to this camera. Before i thought i had everything spot on but then i started noticing that if i shot on the far outer AF points, my target would be super soft or out of focus.

Thank goodness for this!

http://www.learn.usa.canon.com …ate_EOS_AF_QuickGuide.pdf (external link)

Now everything i have is tack sharp and spot on just as if i was using center point AF. Big difference from when I had my 35L at +8MA and now it's at -5MA. Anyways, just felt like telling everyone this. I'm a happy camper now :). And there I was..thinking about switching to the D800 :P.

No, everything concering NR was disabled. ISO was set at 800 at a shutterspeed of 46 seconds.

did u try iso 100? i think higher iso will intro more noise on a long exposure. though i doubt iso 800 would make that much noise, maybe im wrong

Okay, here ya go...

BTW, I have found that I miss almost nothing when shooting action. The ones I do miss I really think it is that I slip away from the subject (i.e. user error) or I think I may be having some issues with the focus on my siggy 50 at further distances.
