Gosh, I seem to be one of many new 5D3 owners! Is this the best selling DSLR at the moment? Should be by the looks of things! :)

Whats a 7D? ;)

Yes, I had a 7D. I sold it for a Mark II and was much happier. Now, with the mark III, I have the AF I thought Id have with the 7D and ridiculous iso performance. Buy it now while its 2600 bucks. Its a ridiculous price.

Sold my 7D for a 5D mk3. Would not hesitate to recommend it! The AF system is even better, the low light ability is WAY better and FF will spoil you.
Then on the video side...no more aliasing, no more moire (say that 10 times fast!) 29min record time limit vs 12 min, All-I codec, and more.

Just a beast of a camera!

But then you'll wonder about the 1Dx! HaHa!

Not former. I'm a concurrent owner.

I will give up the 7D if/when they give me the same 61 pt AF with the APS-C sensor.

Wicked camera. Did a project a couple of weeks ago and it just blew my mind with the ISO capabilities.

Shot this stuff with a 85 1.8 and a 50 1.4

I'm also fortunate to have both 7D and 5D3. They make a great pairing with many similar features and button layouts. I think the 5D3 focuses even better than the 7D.

Same here and I would agree with that, I love that the lay out is almost the same.
Here is one with the 5d3 and 16-35 II

I have both, I kept the 7D for the reach of the crop sensor but to be honest, since I bought the 5D Mk III back in September, I have not used the 7D at all. My biggest complaint with the 7D was noise at high ISO, with the 5D Mk III I don't worry too much what ISO I use. And my wide angle lens has found new life - and I found that I love using it!
