That really is a wonderful shot, and even more so, as I have been shooting macro and trying to do the same as you have.

Would you mind providing some info about how you captured this, such as lighting, shutter speed, etc... Processing if you did more than say exposure? Did you use a tripod?
Thanks

Thank you mate.

TBH we visited a local garden centre and everything taken was handheld.

PP was done in lightroom with adjustments to Temp, Exp, Highlights, shadows, white and blacks, Tone curve etc. Slight sharpening then the frame and sig added in CS5.1

Walking through the house I noticed a nice cloud formation with back lighting so I grabbed camera with 24-105 did some 5 frame brackets but haven't tried HDRing them yet.

These two are the center (0) exposure with some Lightroom processing applied:

Terrific combo, and a great shot! Were you using ext. tubes or is this a crop?

Thanks Ricardo, no extension tubes, cropped. I usually use my 100mm macro for these shots. On this day decided to go with 135L.

Cool shots. It's funny, when I first got into photography, a photog buddy of mine was talking about liking cloudier days for pictures. At the time I thought, "what the hell is he talking about?"

But as I have learned more and taken a fair number of pictures, clouds really do make outdoor shots much more interesting.
