Three lens mounts

EF, EF-S, EF-M, is three to many? Just throwing it oil for discussion, haven't seen it yet. Are three different mounts going to be a bad thing?

too many for what? i don't see it really mattering all that much...yeah it'd be nice if there was only one i guess...but then you wouldn't have smaller cameras...

I wouldn't necessarily call EF-S a separate lens mount, as it accepts EF lenses as well...

I guess it's more having to manufacture more parts, and more lenses. Now they will have three lines of interchangeable lenses. Higher manufacturing costs.

I can see how it would be confusing especially to people new to Canon. The EF-M caught me off guard and required a bit of looking in to before I knew what it was. I'm glad it won't fit my camera-I have enough glass to lust for as it is.
