I have just completed a section of the John Muir Trail. It covers some of the most scenic areas of the Sierra Nevada.
One of my Bucket List goals is to complete the entire JMT, but in sections. Last week I completed the section from Tuolumne to Reds Meadows. Here are a couple pictures from that trip and a link to my gallery with all the pictures I have processed thus far.

Banner Peak at the west end of 1000 Island Lake.

1 is my 2nd favorite from the entire set. I have another that has more meaning to me, but as for landscapes, this is my favorite.

Thanks! I'll be working on completing this goal in the next few years. Age waits for no one, so I need to keep moving!

Here is another shot I really like. This is a blend of two exposures 1.5 steps apart to get both the sky and foreground exposed properly.

Thanks for sharing the shots, and your gallery. Keep working at your goal because the time when you join those of us who are relegated to day hikes will come sooner than you realize. I'll be up in Tuolumne Meadow next week and will hopefully get some shots to share.

Ooops, I forgot to add this one. I'm a fan of Panoramas, they just don't translate as well on this site because of image size limitations, but, this one is a bit special. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

This link will take you to the gallery where you can view this image in much larger sizes.
