I just bought a 5D III. But I can't open the RAW files in Lightroom 3.6.

Normally I go to the Adobe site and download the new Camara RAW version. But I tried the 7.1 and 6.7 and booth won't install.

Does some one have a solution ?

Many thanks

Convert to DNG.

(then upgrade to LR4.1:))

In a nutshell, the 5D3 Raw files need a version of ACR that is not supported by CS3 -- the software is too outdated.

You have a few options, a couple of which have been mentioned. You don't have to upgrade your Photoshop (I myself still use CS3) but you will need to use something, either the DNG converter (CS3 ACR can open/process DNG files) or a newer Raw processor such as found in LR4, or the Canon Raw processing software Digital Photo Professional, which is updated for each new release of Canon bodies/CR2 Raw files.
