No bamboo bikes in this set, this time a 'flash-a-thon'. Congratulations to Nils Plotner of Germany who won the overall competition in the 17 day long 'Superweek' racing series this year.

Thanks.

I'm kneeling in the grass and he's passing no more than 5 feet away from me. I track him, panning as he comes by (very quickly!). It was late afternoon and cloudy, so light was a problem for everyone shooting even with fast shutter speeds and panning was the key to keep the focus on track. :D

1D MkIIn, Tokina 11-17 at 11mm, F4, ISO 200, 1/1250th manual exposure. 580EXII flash in high speed sync. probably at 0 or maybe -2/3 power.

Rest assured it took many tries to get the setup and technique correct, but once I nailed it, I was getting keepers one after another. ;)

(Referenced from another thread):Nobody rides with that sort of intensity around here!

Looks like you captured some of that intensity in #3. ;) Nice job!

Thanks for the info! #1 is what I was going for last week but I couldn't nail down the settings fast enough. They look great!
