Approaching 40 very quick, I think I am in a mist of a mid-life crisis. Its started when I bought a telescope 3 years ago. I remembered when I was a kid and looking at the stars. I remember vividly being a total fan of astronomy book. Fast forward to last year, I traded my Hyundai for a Mustang.

Recently, I have re-discovered the beauty of B&W photos. It reminds me of my high school days. We were shooting on B&W film and doing the development in a black room. The color can sometime be a distraction and I the B&W since to bring out some details that otherwise you would miss. I am not stopping color photos but I am thoroughly enjoying B&W once again.

Getting a Mustang isn't a mid-life crisis, it's good taste. Unless it's one of those recent ones.

O dear, you have clearly hit middleage and are now suffering from the symptoms. Next thing you know you will sit there with a Leica and a 35mm lens only shooting blackwhite streetphotos of trashcans and humans.

It's a downwards spiral you can't get out of.. :)

Report back when you buy that Leica M-Monochrom...then we'll know you've gone off the deep end.

Embrace it! I've enjoyed the hell out of mid-life (and later). Mustang, motorcycles, bicycles, rc cars, cameras. Go out and enjoy the fruits of your labors.

My recent obsessive thoughts are rc cars!!!! :) I have yet to get one. I am debating between spending over $2k on a carbon bike with some deep dish 58mm carbon wheels. Versus getting into the rc car since I used to enjoy it as a kid playing with my uncle. One hobby I can get a good workout and leading to good health. The other looks cool watching it.

I'd get the bike. $2k is a good price for what you describe.

This is the frame I planning to get. He is our local frame builder and so his frame, all carbon and only weights 950g, is more affordable.

Do whatever that gives you fun, as long as no one else is hurt in the process, go for it!

Mustangs are, depending on the year, great cars. Some were downright foolish (mostly mid-70s through much of what came after).

72 was interesting, but my favorites will always be from the 60s, including my 1964 1/2.

Thank you. bw!

There is nothing wrong with my 2012 Mustang. Its actually one of the best mustang they have produce in a very long time. Would I want an 67 Shelby GT-500 ? Sure but I don't have 120,000$ for a car.
