Different brand head for Manfrotto tripod?

Will a ball head from a Dolica tripod fit on a Manfrotto tripod? I know they are both 3/8". I was just not sure if anyone has done this or if I have to buy a Manfrotto head.

Yea as long as the bolt patterns match up you should be good to go.

I think the head will fit as long as the screws are the same size. I've got a vanguard pistol grip on an Induro tripod, and that works.
