I went on my first paying portrait shoot today. This was my first shoot other than my wife or kid.

One of my wife's co-workers wanted some pics of her and some with her dog for Christmas gifts.

Only PP was auto levels and USM.

While checking for quality in PS, this happened to be on my screen and i absolutely loved it so i cropped and saved it. I feel it kind of has an artistic look.

I really like the B&W images. I prefer them over the one with color. I think the one of her and her dog is wonderful. It's a good capture of the dog. He looks happy :).

You did a great job. I'm sure she'll be very happy with the pictures.

Thanks guys. I went and had some 8x10's and 5x7's done of a couple of them and some wallets of a couple (that were not posted) for her to send in her Christmas cards.

After doing this shoot today ..........i REALLY want to do more portriat work!! :) My wife helped me get it set up and helped with angles, etc. Looks like i found me a FREE assistant!

I just had to Re-do some of her prints. I found out that if you dont worry about size when you crop, the prints get messed up! LOL

I wound up refixing the originals and they redid the prints for me.

I have learned to think about enlargement size as I shoot. I have a bad habit of filling the frame and then I am stuck with 2x3 format.

Nice job with these. I can see a lot of personality in them. I'm sure she loves them.
