Bought the cheap 1.4x kenko extender (Teleplus MC-4 DGX version) and tested on a 100-400L mounted on a 5D Mark III. I wanted to see if AF was good enough and what kind of image quality I could achieve with this combo. I believe the combo is front focusing a little so I will likely have to micro adjust it. Overall for the small expense ($150) I'm happy with the extender. I'm actually very surprised at the AF performance. I expected it to be much worse.
