Hey all, in partnership with my other thread "Tanzania 2005 Pics" in Travel and Landscapes, here are a few macros i took whilst there. All using A95, natural lighting, no zoom.

Thanks

I don't really see how that second picture is a macro.

it must be just me, but it just looks like an ordinary picture of a grasshopper.

Cheers guys, the grasshopper was difficult to get as he kept moving!! He had the most amazing striped body, im glad it came out in the pictures :) He was quite big + didn't hop as fast as other grasshoppers native to me, he was about 1 1/2 inches long n quite a chunky little guy as well! I got a couple of shots of him and this was the one that i like best, i just had to crop it down in ps to get rid of some of the grass.

The coffee beans pictures were taken at a coffee plantation we visited, the beans were all drying out in the open air with ladies tending them all the time. The white bean picture was part of another picture which was somewhat out of focus, but i liked the way those beans were focused on.
The brown bean picture was more of a perspective shot, but i used macro mode to get the focus of the image in the midground, i hope it turned out ok, just cropped a little to get rid of some canvas + the edge of the drying beds.
Thanks
Rowan

He sure was, I would have liked more focus around his head, but like my little bro, he just wouldnt stay still!!

Thanks for the kind comments.
