Does anyone know whether or not Luma Labs ever came out with a quick disconnect for their Cinch strap? I found a thread dated back in April that sounded like it was nearing production but I didn't see anything on their website.

I also sent them an email a couple days ago but haven't heard anything back from them yet. Judging from the time delay on their production, hopefully that just means that they are really busy right now.

Thanks.

Greg posted last week that they were a couple of weeks away from buying some material and/or tools to start making them.

I sent them an email asking them a question a few weeks ago. It took them about a week and a day or two to respond but I got my answer at that time. Might just need to give them a few more days. =)

I would love a quick disconnect.

Thanks for the info everyone. My understanding is that the QDs can be added to any Cinch once they are available. I was just going to try to get everything on one order if I could.

In the meantime, has anyone tried anything like this?

I just received a reply to my email from Luma Labs. With regard to the quick disconnects:

Our quick release connection system is still in development. We don't yet have a timeframe, but it is our highest priority.

Used them for years. Work great with no problems.

Months it sounds like. Ordering the machinery and then starting manufacturing probably won't happen in three weeks. Not the end of the world though.
