Does anyone know how much Canon charges to adjust a lens/camera combination for focus? I have a 300mm f2.8 IS and a 1DIV that I'd like to be as sharp as possible going into football season. I live near Irvine so I can take it there and pick it up myself.

Also, if I upgrade to Gold CPS would the two free clean and checks cover this?

Thanks.

Is the lens already micro-adjusted to the body? Do you have any reason to believe that it is not already where is should be?

I've been through two rounds of adjusting it. I have also seen that it performs better in tests at f4. In the field it is a little better at f4 than 2.8. I bought this lens about 7 months ago and while it is good, it has never been as razor sharp as I expect.

Here's a photo from Thursday evening. It is about as sharp as anything I shot at this game. f3.2, 1/2500, ISO 3200 from my 1D mkIV. Here's the photo:

Here's a link to the entire gallery (external link) from this game. What do you think?
