I use that kit every now and then. People say there is a color cast, but I don't see it as I use it for sunrise or sunsets. I normally use a B+W #110 10 stop ND filter most of the time, unless I need a GND filter.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

I use the Cokin P Series for most of my sunset shots along with a cheap CPL that I got from China that will fit into that system. It works pretty well.

Since I can't afford to spend so much money on a Lee Filter system.

I even use it with my Tokina 11-16mm lens. There will be some vignetting on the corners, but it can be easily cropped out. You can have the whole set of filters + holder for less than one Lee Filter. Since I'm no pro and don't make any money off of my photos, it works. Here are two images using the Cokin P-Series filter system.

I used the P system for a while, then it became too limiting as I could only use the wide angle holder with 1 slot (anything more caused vignetting with my 10-22, and cropping it out defeats the purpose of using an UWA, since you end up with WA), so I upgraded to the Lee kit.

The P holder is a good introductory square filter kit, it lets you explore a bit and find out if you will be using it enough to justify spending on the larger, more expensive versions, and if you don't like it, the P size equipment is cheap enough to not make much of a dent in your wallet.

singuarly, P-series cokin work fine.
But I've stacked 3 high power NDs for long exposure daytime shots and finally did i notice the purple color tone of the images.

I don't use them enough to justify a Lee kit and I also don't have any UWA's that require the 1 slot adapter so for me, P-series is perfect for my usage.

The purple colour tone can be edited in LR though
