Tripod for Canon 7D ?

Hi People,

I am looking to buy a good tripod , here are the details:

Camera: Canon 7D
Budget: is about 200 USD.
Purpose: I will be using this tripod for long shutter photography.

Don't forget a head...

The "standard" head for those legs is the 488rc2 or newer 498rc2.

I've got the 055xprob myself. Great set of legs. Sturdy. But heavy! I use it only for studio work.

foot for lent =55........628 total.tripod good for 22lbs ...rrs bh rated for 15lbs i believe
433 for tripod and bh w\o any lens plate or lplate
induro makes bh's but i opted for rrs instead

70-200is 2.8 and camera come in at 5.5lbs

Manfrotto 055 with 498rc2 is a bit over your budget but well worth it. Its going to be one of the cheapest setup but yet stable and durable. This is probably the most recommended combo for users on a tight budget.
You can also look at the 190 series that is also recommended. It smaller and shorter when fully extended compared to the 055. Also hold less weight but not by much and slight cheaper if you want to go that route.
