I think next Christmas just came early for me.
I wanted a small quantity (10) of my normal 20 x 16 mounts with 16 x 12 aperture and picked them up this afternoon. While I was there, the boss asked me if I could print different sizes. It turned out they had cut 30 mounts for a customer who subsequently did not turn up to collect or pay for them. They are slightly different in both overall and aperture sizes (say 1/2" smaller overall for both) but at a price of £6 for the lot I was not going to argue. Thats 20 pence per mount.
We then discussed frame prices (to suit the new mounts) and to help me he will make to order in a variety of styles at prices between £8 and £10.
My lucky day or what?
