I hope it is ok to post my first picture here even tho i didn´t take it with a macro lens.
Today i got my Tamron 70-300 VC and since it´s my first lens to go with my 40D body i just had to go out during lunchbreak and try it out.

In sweden we call this one citronfjäril but i looked up the english name wich seems to be Common Brimstone.

That's a beautiful shot.

I recently bought the same lens and have been quite pleased with it. I need to do some more experiments, but I have a suspicion that the autofocus is not quite perfect and that I get sharper shots manually focussing. I would be interested to know how you find it. The vibration control is amazing though.
