Still learning the new lights I just got (books on studio lighting will arrive on Monday - I Hope).... I still keep seeing too much light (or so I think) from my main light and I keep dialing it down. What do you think? I think too much glare personally.

I like the lighting might be a shade to dark on her left. and alittle bright on her right. Your definetely going in the right direction keep it up.

No, not to much glare...you have contrasts, without which everything starts to go flat...I.m sure understanding lighting (which I can't help much with) will help you acheive your tastes better, but this is in the right direction...a B&W conversion would be interesting here with the available contrasts ?

The "eyes" have it !

Pretty, and photogenic too! You're lucky.
I cropped it to 8x10 format, which gets rid of some of the dead space above her head. It's an akward pose, as her arms form two lines that lead your eye out of the frame. I kind of added a hairlight.....it might be good with black backgrounds.

thanks everyone... I like the link. Your right about the arms they do lead you out of the frame. Luckily, I have a wife that doesn't mind me using her to practice (I tell her the alternative is were going fishing at my favorite spot which means we have to walk for 45-minutes - works every time).
