I just wanna ask if the 568EX can do OCF while on HSS using the YN622C trigger?

Yes.

Has anyone here successfully used these to hypersync with alien bees b1600's?

Not with a 5DII or 60D. I personally don't believe there is super sync with AB strobes. Haven't seen anyone post images that support the idea that this is possible.

Hyper sync "works" with any voltage control strobe. The important consideration is t.1 flash duration and how much the tail curve is flattened when the power is reduced on the strobe.

All the information is available on the Buff website. Ideally, use a more powerful strobe and then reduce the power. The combination tends to provide the flattest curve for a family of lights.

Peter - I found my source in September 2012 that claims his worked. I have seen no other support, even after your oft-repeated requests.

The table posted by iituner (post #1305) suggests that it would be marginal at best, so I will change the listing: ABs do not work with Supersync.

I can get supersync to produce fill light using a 580EX II mounted on pc-sync, but only between 1/1000 and1/4000 S. So, on the table figures, and AB1600 should be able to also, but it is so weak as to be unusable in real life.

^^^ yes they do.. and you can also hypersync at 5.4 power level and up for just a smidge more power than FP mode. I am saving up for a third D400r

Godox/Flashpoint r2 system, plus some canon stuff.

I had my first play at supersync with a 580EX II and PZ5000 AF. I didn't have a male-to-male PC sync cord so I used my CBS triggers on the two flashes. The transmitter came with a short mini to PC cord so I attached the cord to the on-camera 622's PC port and mini port on the CBS transmitter. I set both flashes to full power.

The setup. (Note: The CBS transmitter is not making contact with the 622's pass-through. The two are connected only through the cord.):

Result. The flashes are six feet from the wall. Exposure was f/5.6 @ 1/4000, ISO 100. For comparison, I pointed the camera outside (mostly sunny, 9 AM) and got a shutter speed reading of 1/320. Zoom was 24mm (580) and 28mm (PZ):

Out of curiosity, I took the same shot with the 580 controlled by a 622 receiver (normal HSS) and lost about 2/3 of a stop in exposure.

I've done it and it seemed to work fine.
I took a test picture at 1/8000th with ab1600 on full power and no black banding. There was pretty even lighting through the frame. I only tested it right when I got the triggers and haven't used it since because I haven't had the need to.

Any of the YongNuo Class 1 flashes. The YN-500EX is selling at around US$150.

I have a question if the 622's would work with older canon PS camera. like Canon G7? I could not make YN565EX to trigger when directly connected to G7, but it would trigger if I use YN603C just fine.
Has anyone tried Canon G7 + YN622+ YN565EX configuration or newer YN568EX?
