A little selection of recent images. Feedback most welcomed and appreciated as always. Thanks for looking.

These Little Corelllas are just great, so playful, always larking around.

A Feathered B2 Stealth on an attack run? A Little Crow I think (but hardly little, actually pretty large).

Ibis - I love how pre-historic these guys look.

The following images are of what I assumed to be a Brown Goshawk. Please do correct me if I have ID'd this incorrectly. These guys know I watch them (they look straight at me) and twice now they have rocketed in over the garden to take out other birds - first occasion a Dove, second occasion a Honey Eater. Both birds got away, but lost a load of feathers. Man, these chaps are something else. Fast, agile and ceaselessly impressive to watch in action.

Beaut shots Andrew, all great but the Corella head portrait is a ripper shot. They have such a great personality and just like to have fun and get all the attention.

Thank you both. Much appreciated. I have to say that a wheelchair makes for a great, stable shooting platform! ;-)a. That said, it's getting a little tiresome now, cannot wait till I can walk unassisted again. That said, on the occasions we do go out I'm finding that my wife quite enjoys pushing me around (in any direction she wants).

I note with interest tht invariably she'll position me looking directly at the sun with a wry smile on her face.

The first photo of a bird of prey is not a goshawk. It is a peregrine falcon.

Thanks so much for the feedback, and thank you, Pjoern for the clarification concerning ID on the birds of prey - used a spotters book, but found it hard to tell which they were with the shots in the book.

As for the Corella, Tina, yes, you can, can't you. They are very common here, as you'll know, and see them every day, but never tire of watching them. Real comedians with an obvious zest for life.

Andrew, you are so good at the in flight shots, but I have to say that your Corella is a gorgeous portrait.

all great shots Andrew, yes the first of the BOPs is an Australian Hobby, the eye line looks blue to me, not the yellow of the Peregrine.
well done.

Impressive series Andrew, very well done. The Crow shot is a very unique angle, he does have that "Stealth" look. Do you see many Galah where you are?

Thanks for the kind comments and thanks for the re-clarification concerning the bird of prey, Peter - I cross checked with image I know to be of a Hobby and, yes, I'd concur that this is what this looks like.

I do see a load of these Galahs here Steve and, every evening, we get a flock of them heading south, you can pretty much set your clock by them. I'm lucky that we are on a hill, well, a but of a hill, and all the houses looking out from the garden are one storey only so I have a good view of the surrounds.

Thank you, that's my favourite too, actually. ;-)a

As an aside, concerning the Australian Hobby, just happened across its Latin name: Falco longipennis

Yup, I had to check a number of sources too as initially I thought the name a little odd, but that's it, apparently - refers to the wingtips supposedly.
