I've been waiting a year for the Agapanthus to bloom again so the hummingbirds would feed there. There is a row about 50' long of these flowers. They are a Huntington Gardens special color of blue, much richer than the common flowers you see everywhere. There must be 100 birds that feed there. Many times there are 15-20 feeding at the same time.
I shot with a 1D MKIV, 70-200 f2.8 IS with a 1.4tc on a monopod. Some with a 580 EXII flash using high speed sync as noted.
Here are the best 8 of the 600 or so frames I shot over about 2 hours. Your comments and suggestions for improvement would be appreciated.
