Curious as to why you don't see any results with this lens. Its been out a while but you just don't see much in the way of this Lens. Too much competition maybe ...

That's what I was thinking, nothing here that I can see in regards to the search... (want to spoil myself with a wide lens now that I am employed)

Perhaps the constant f/4 of the Tokina 12-24 is seen as a better option than the variable f/4.5 - 5.6 of the Tamron & as such, worthwhile giving up 1mm in width....

As for price, I believe that they about the same (in Australian $$ at any rate)

(OK, wanders off with the Tokina 12-24 looking more definite then.... :D)

F5.6 is pretty slow... i'd not buy one myself. The 12-24 is a good lens and constant F4.

Hey I found some mijbril @ PBase: http://www.pbase.com/fvdvhome/tamron_1118mm (external link) there taken at night though. The first 6 in this series were recently taken using a 350D/XT and I must say they are impressive: http://www.pbase.com/tianmou/1230rhossill (external link)

I'll probably save up along with my Canon rebate check coming and get the EF-S 10-22mm > maybe.
