Two parts pure luck and one part persistence and I finally got my Ruby-throated close-up I've been chasing. Essentially our feeders are right out the window and I was about two feet away at full zoom with my cheap Tamron 1:2 macro-tele lens. A few others included while I waited. Sorry for the title spelling error. Also shot in JPEG on accident as I forgot I was using the camera for some web photos.

Completely unplanned and uncropped shot as I was focusing on the feeder and tinkering with the zoom this gal came in so I gave it a go. Not much bill room to spare
