Hi all, well I had my hi lite with me for the first time last week. I got a lot of good shots but some, mostly full length shots I got a lot of grey in front (unlit area) of my subjects where the front lights just seemed wrong and I'm wondering why.

Here's the set up. 2 heads in the hi lite. I have the biggest size. 2 lights in front of the hilight to blow out the join between the hi lite and the floor. 2 heads in fron fitted with transparent brollies. The back 4 heads are onn f16 while the front 2 are set to my working apature of f8 and my shutter is set to a 60th.

This is set up as I've seen on vids so I don't know for sure where the grey is coming from but I do need to fix this.

Could the grey infront of the subjects be caused by the angle I had the heads? Was the power setting (done with a light meter) at f8 too low?

I dunno how to upload to this site so I can't post a pic

Thanks!
