Dollond just happens to be the brand name of this set of bellows.
Bellows are used in between the camera and lens of an SLR camera, while basically having the same use as a set of extension tubes, only incrementally adjustable, usually out to as much as 4 inches of extension.
In case you didn't know already, extension tubes and bellows are used to make the mounted lens capable of real close focus as would be used in macro photography. ;)

Thanks Bruce, I had a feeling it was something to do with macro.

It amazes me why some one would sell something so nice so cheaply, I picked this up plus this camera at a boot sale this morning for 50p.

regards

Bruce

NICE! :D The bellows set may be the best part of the deal. It looks like it may be an M42 universal screw mount, and if it indeed is, you can mount it to a Canon DSLR with an M42 to EOS adapter and a short extension tube in M42 mount as well.
If you're interested, I've got a link to my bellows set mounted on a 10D in Macro Tips and Tricks in the sticky at the top of the macro forum that explains in detail how it is mounted, and why the extension tube is needed. ;)
