How to resize for forum posting

Hi, I shoot in RAW and result is files that are 24MB in size, I perform PP and then when resizing for posting her I resize in DPP with 1024 x 683 using pixel as Unit measurement and Lock Aspect ratio ticked, p[roblem is the files then land up at 560kb which exceeds the 150kb limit, what can I do or correctly, what am I doing wrong ... thanks

First of all, are you converting your RAW files to a .jpeg after you are done with your PP? I don't want to assume anything, hence the question.

Secondly, do you belong to a photo sharing site like Flickr? If not, that is the easiest way to get photos onto POTN, though not the only method. I've noticed different people use different methods. Flickr is what I started with and it is pretty easy.

I'll watch for your reply and then add info if you need it, rather than bore you with a lengthy explanation of stuff you already know.

Yip, convert from RAW to 16 bit TIFF using DPP, then Photoshop for PP then convert to JPEG ..
Yes, I have a flickr account (free version) but tend to upload to POTN from computer as never managed to master the URL thing..
