There's a some decent shots but one can see the limitations of a phone camera.

It's been said before, and will again and again: It's the photog. and not the equipment. A guy with loads of experience and the proper access should be able to get shots like that.

However, how much easier would that have been (especially the action stuff) with a "proper" camera?

But I don't want one of those phones. I don't want to get email on my phone or be able to surf the internet while out having meal. Maybe they should just make it a camera instead of a camera + phone.

Oh wait, I have one of those, its called a CAMERA.

I'm with you on that. I personally don't need internet or GPS with me all the time and I sure don't want to be that guy who stares at his palm all night while he's out with a date :)

I was in London on business last year with a co-worker and he got a picture of me walking thru Trafalgar Square staring down at my Blackberry looking at Google maps.

I'm sure somebody at work drags it out once a month to laugh at me.

You have to admit it would be nice to have internet on your camera though. Instant upload! just no phone, how else does one avoid the wife.

It would be a fun experiment, and there are some genuinely good captures in there...

...but...

460px on the longest side hides a thousand sins...

It's relatively easy to get a good shot with a mediocre camera when the lighting is good.

Now turn out the lights and see what happens.
