Does this picture look like it has serious barrel Distortion, or are my eyes playing tricks on me.

This lens does have serious barrel distortion at 18mm. See Photozones analysis:

Will the canon t3i dpp correct it? I'm really not familiar with it as I use the program on the Mac

I use Lightroom, not Canon's DPP, but I am almost certain that DPP has lens aberration correction that recognizes the lens model and can apply the appropriate correction. Do you shoot RAW or JPEG? How it works in DPP may differ based on format.

Good on the RAW as I just checked and you can't correct distortion in other formats in DPP.

In DPP, open a RAW image to edit and if it isn't already visible, select the Tool Palette button in the icon'd menu bar. In the Palette, select the Lens tab. You'll probably have to select Update here so that your lens info can be downloaded and loaded into DPP. Now you can the Tune button for Lens Aberration Correction. In the new window, click the Distortion box. You should be good to go now.

Ok great I will load it tonight and give it a try. I really like the lens but was very disappointed in how much distortion there was after I uploaded the pictures. Granted I hardly ever shoot at 18

Thanks a bunch. I will try that . I have just been using the apple software, except it doesn't offer barrel distortion adjustment. Here is one I did from this past weekend trip to the Eastern High Sierra.
